LIFEPAK 1000 Battery Features
This replacement battery is designed with a test gauge that lets you easily see your remaining capacity at a glance. Just push the gray button beneath the battery symbol to see the level of charge that remains. All four LEDs will illuminate if your battery is fully charged. Always test your battery and ensure a full charge before installing it in your AED.
Note that this is not a rechargeable battery. It’s a low-maintenance, single-use battery with a standby life of 5 years in an unused defibrillator. If maintained properly, a new LIFEPAK battery is capable of lasting for about 17 hours of “ON” time or 440 standard discharges.
The included discharger allows for easy recycling. Just insert the discharger into the battery prior to disposal, and let the remaining capacity drain for several hours. You must fully discharge your battery prior to recycling.
Proper Replacement Battery Care
To install your replacement lithium AED battery, start by locating the battery icon at the bottom of your AED. Pull the latch to release the old spring-loaded battery, and then insert your new battery in its place. To confirm a successful installation, observe the battery indicator on the upper-right corner of the AED’s display.
Note that extreme high and low temperatures can reduce the lifespan and performance of your AED battery. Secure your device in a temperature-controlled environment to ensure maximum life from your battery.
