Defibtech has added to their line of defibrillators by introducing the Lifeline ECG and Lifeline Pro. The Pro offers a manual override option, in addition to ECG and CPR rescue guidance.

An ECG Screen on a Lay-Rescuer AED
The Lifeline ECG is semi-automatic. It analyzes the rhythm, charges, and then asks the rescuer to press the shock button. What sets it apart in this price class is the display. During the rescue it shows the patient’s ECG in real time. An EMT or nurse arriving on scene reads the rhythm on the device that is already attached, instead of waiting for their own monitor.
Guidance That Assumes No Training
For everyone else the screen shows full-color video of what to do next, backed by voice prompts. A built-in metronome sets the compression pace at 100 per minute. The device can coach compression-only CPR or compressions with rescue breaths, depending on the protocol your site follows.
Reviewing the Event Afterward
Rescue data comes off the device over USB or on the memory card. That record is useful twice. Hand it to the treating hospital, and walk through it with your responders at the next training session. The unit weighs 3 lbs. and carries an IP55 rating and an 8-year warranty.
Everything You Need to Put It on the Wall
Alongside the defibrillator the package includes a wall cabinet, a three-way sign, a wall poster, the inspection card for your monthly check and the “AED On-Site” window decal, plus a carry case and a first responder kit. As a bundle it costs less than the same items bought one at a time, and your AED program is ready the day it arrives.
