Teenage soccer player's sudden cardiac arrest shows importance of on-site athletic trainers

Teenage soccer player Omar Clunis suffered a cardiac arrest after a game in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Athletic trainer Ashley Chrestman was called. She immediately started CPR and used an AED before Berkeley County EMTs arrived on the scene and took over. Omar survived the event thanks to Chrestman’s prompt, life-saving actions.
