Soccer coach saves 15-year-old’s life with CPR after he went into cardiac arrest during practice

Canen Dickman collapsed when he suffered a cardiac arrest on July 7, 2023, at soccer practice at Worthington Kilbourne High School. Jon Sprunger, the head soccer coach, started CPR immediately while another coach fetched an onsite AED. Canen survived the event with full brain function, according to an MRI. The coaches’ fast response had most likely saved his life.
