Brian graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business/Finance prior to moving south to San Diego. After a brief stint in finance, Brian shifted gears to become a Firefighter Paramedic, going on to work as a SWAT Medic, Engineer, and Captain over a 15 year span. Seeing the amazing potential of defibrillators first hand, but often arriving too late in the critical minutes following sudden cardiac arrest, Brian co-founded AED Leader in 2008 with a goal to place more of these life-saving devices into the hands of the public. In his off-time Brian stays busy raising 3 rambunctious daughters with his wife Elizabeth, and keeping active with surfing, rock climbing, and mountain biking.
