A woman went into cardiac arrest at the Broad Street Run and was revived with a defibrillator

On April 30, 2023, a 26-year-old woman went into cardiac arrest while she was running in the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run in Philadelphia. Bystanders administered CPR until the emergency services arrived and provided an electric shock with a defibrillator. No information is available about her current condition, but it was reported that her heart had been restored to a normal rhythm.
